"This hotel is nicer and cleaner than other places I’ve stayed that have charged double your rate. My husband and I came to Galena on a whim, and drove by, but stopped at another chain that was remodeling and charged $115.00 for the night. We decided to turn around and stop by here as we saw it earlier, and I’m so happy we stayed here instead. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to all my family and Friends."

"We recently stayed at the Stoney Creek Inn in Galena, Illinois. It was conveniently located just outside the touristy downtown area - a 5 minute drive. We were granted a several-hour-early check-in time and given the AARP discount even though we forgot the card. Staff was friendly & helpful. The lobby was cozy and woodsy, there was a pleasant room for the continental breakfast, a small but good exercise room, a nice indoor pool/sauna/whirlpool area, and our room was extremely comfortable - like a mini suite - 2 TV's, living area, huge sink/vanity area, great bed and again a cozy, woodsy decor. Couldn't have been more pleased."

"Scott was wonderful. We called down to the front desk because our fridge did not appear to be working. Within minutes, Scott was at our door with a replacement fridge.
He met and exceeded our expectations!
Dena was also very accommodating and helpful in assisting us with an additional reservation. She has such a wonderful personality."

"What wonderful people Stoney Creek Inn has working for them. I unknowingly left over a hundred dollars in cash in my room after check-out. The staff saw to it that it was returned to me within a week. Thanks to those who found the money and to all the staff for their honesty and making my stay so pleasurable. Honesty like this is a rare find. This chain will have my loyalty as a customer."

“We would like to draw special attention to Teresa. During our stay she gave us the extra attention that transformed and average stay to the spectacular stay. When my Girl Friend and I decided to go on a late dinner, Teresa made phone calls to see what was open. When we walked in she greeted us with a smile that showed she enjoyed her job.
